All Things Christa

Branding is a great way for you to get your personality out there for people to see. Something that personifies you. Sometimes your brand should be subtle and sometimes it should speak volumes.

Below is a brand I made for my friend Christa.

LC-Makes it happen

I made a brand for a friend of mine. I wanted to make something that embodied who he is. It is clean, sophisticated and a little vain just like him. At first I wanted to make a three initial brand but he wanted two and since the client is always right

Voila!

Knot Bride #5

My final bride, Jessica like monograms that are "simple with pretty fonts" Her color palette of light blue, champagne and chocolate brown along with clean lines and little romantic touches made for two very lovely monograms.

Oh my gosh those are fantastic! I love them both. You did a great job I couldn't be any happier with them. I just showed my fiance he loves them too. I am seriously so excited! I think if your going to this professionally you will do very well. I can't thank you enough really. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you
- Jessica

Knot Bride #4

Bride # 4, Jeni gave me her wedding particulars and colors and left it up to my imagination. Using her bright color palette as an indication of a bright personality I created a simple monogram to be on the safe side and another that had a little but of whimsy to it.

Excellent work! You did a phenomenal job! I really love both of the designs you've created! I couldn't tell you which one is my favorite; I would say right now I'm really torn because I like the imaginative-ness of the second one, but it seems a little busy, perhaps because of the border...but I love the border! The first one is perfect, clean, elegant, and so professional looking.
I am astounded at how fantastic these look without me having filled out the questionnaire! I have filled it out and attached it, just in case you were interested. I was out of town the last day and a half, so I didn't have a chance to get it to you earlier; my apologies.

Thank you for your work and your fast response time, too.
-Jeni

Knot Bride #3

Danielle is the only bride in my offer for whom only one monogram was made. It was because she was a last minute addition to the offer and also because she had a very specific request. Black and white damask with yellow accent color. I love her color scheme!

Its beautiful! and the yellow is the exact shade... thank you so much! You should do this on the side, i bet you could make a ton of money!

Knot Bride #2

My second bride wanted things kept simple. She wanted a monogram that would match her navy blue invites. Since I didn't know more about her invitations other than the fact that they were navy blue I tried to keep the lines and details simple.

I did get the monograms and they are wonderful! MUCH better than my pathetic attempts! I would love to be able to play around and do stuff like that, but I never know what kind of program to use. The only problem is that FI and I can't decide which one to use because we like them both. I like the first one, and he likes the second. I, of course, am the one printing things, so in the end I will win... Lol. Thank you very much.

Knot Bride # 1

The brides that I met on The Knot agreed to let me create monograms for them in exchange for their feedback. I had a wonderful time working on all of the monograms and It was a pleasure to work with all of them. The bride Ashton, requested a very simple but elegant monogram. Her colors were very natural and earthy with the green to be used mostly as an accent.

You are amazing!! I love both of them! I don't know how I'm going to choose. :) You should definitely start charging for this amazing art!

Christmas in September

This is the first monogram/ logo I am posting. I was doodling around on Sunday and actually thinking of a Christmas wedding. I like how the bottom kind of looks like stitched ribbon. Later today I'm going to post the monograms I made for my five brides from The Knot.

Hello!

I want to say welcome and thanks for checking out my blog!

Monograms are a perfect way for you to brand yourself or your event. It could be used in a variety of ways -invitations, letterheads, gift bags, wine labels - the list goes on. I love designing them. I could spend hours on layouts, color, details and fonts. My work is a mix of my own skill and sometimes art from graphic artists. (I really wish I could draw but that was not an ability the universe thought I needed)

Recently I went to the home of the happy bride - The Knot - to test my skills and to get a feel for working on someone else's dream project. I was met with much enthusiasm for the offer to design monograms for them. More than a dozen people contacted me both through my post and by email. In the end I chose 5 brides and their response was overwhelmingly positive.

I'm pretty excited to start posting and showing my work. I'm stepping outside my box with this new venture. Leaving the comfort of high heels and meetings for bare feet and blogging.

Thanks again for stopping by!
